2024 achievements

What we've been doing

Implementing an additional due diligence protocol
In 2024 we developed and implemented a new due diligence protocol, essential to assuring the integrity of our programme and related claims.

Now, in addition to audits carried out by the independent certification body Control Union, Regenagri will complete a risk assessment of all applicants to confirm their eligibility to enter the programme. High-risk projects are subject to additional monitoring.

This additional due diligence process is crucial in high-risk regions to provide assurance to stakeholders about the integrity of the products and Regenagri’s reputation.
Carbon insetting programme
In 2024 we developed the structure and systems for the Regenagri carbon insetting programme. Launched early 2025, its aim is to support farmers to monetise the positive environmental impact of their transition to regenerative agriculture.

We also started to develop the insetting platform to allow farm organisations to transfer carbon insetting units, and supply chain companies and brands to purchase the units to claim Scope 3 GHG reductions.

The carbon insetting programme is open to both Regenagri-certified and non-certified farms located anywhere in the world, growing crops for both food and textiles.
Enhancing traceability
The ability to trace Regenagri products back to their farm of origin is a key element of the programme. In 2024 we strengthened our traceability assurance and updated requirements for mandatory digital traceability through Transaction Certificates.

We also introduced an additional voluntary traceability programme for food and textile products using DNA tracing technologies, with Haelixa as the first approved provider.
Collaborating with industry thought leaders
Regenagri seeks to collaborate with industry leaders in the agricultural sectors to push the regenerative agriculture agenda forward; shaping its future by driving support and demand for regeneratively-produced food and textiles.

In 2024 we were pleased to join two influential initiatives. The first was the Global Coffee Platform, as part of the technical committee. This platform works to create farmer prosperity through innovative, collective action across the coffee sector.

The second was the Round Table for Sustainable Beef. This international forum actively contributes to the important conversations around sustainability in the beef industry.
Spreading the word
Throughout the year we represented the regenerative agriculture movement at high-level meetings and conferences. These included the World Coffee Innovation Summit, Sustainable Commodities and Land Use Forum and the World Living Soils Forum.

We were also pleased to co-host the Scaling Regenerative Agriculture workshop, in partnership with Regenerative Organic Alliance, The Sourcery and Fashion Makes Change.

Collaboration with the Asia Tea Alliance
We were proud to be invited by Solidaridad Asia to join the Asia Tea Alliance to bring thousands of smallholder tea farmers based across India, China, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka into the Regenagri programme.

This is a great opportunity to drive climate resilience and positive impact on farming communities.
Brand engagement
Last year we continued to build relationships with brands seeking to source Regenagri-certified products. From coffee to cotton, nuts and tea, we worked alongside our partners to ensure the programme provided the expected levels of rigour while bringing tangible environmental impact across soil, Scope 3 GHG emissions and water.

As of July 2025 we work with 26 brands around the world who’ve chosen to use our standards to source Regenagri-certified products.

Further to this, 64% of queries we received1 came from companies interested in sourcing Regenagri-certified products, demonstrating healthy demand.

1. Based on 94 web enquiries received during 2024. Other respondents were interested in ‘collaboration to start a Regenagri project’ (18.5%) or ‘other’ (17.4%).
Expanding our team
As Regenagri grows, so does our staff team. In 2024 we recruited four new permanent team members, welcoming on board managers to oversee operations, risk, data assurance and market development.

Together we are working to strengthen all elements of the Regenagri programme and the support we offer our partners to provide truly robust and reliable standards and certification.
Platform updates and development
Last but not least, in 2024 we further developed the Regenagri digital platform to accommodate latest changes in farms assessments and GHG quantification requirements.
